Field Service Engineer-Fisher (Emerson Qatar)

Roles and Responsibilities:

•Calibration, testing and trouble-shooting of valves as well as measurement and valve related instruments.
•Assembly of new equipment or repaired equipment.
•Documentation of repair / testing / assembly activities – cause of failure, actions taken, parts used, labor hours, etc.
•Customer communication – technical assistance, troubleshooting, quoting / determining disposition of repairs.

Job Requirements

Contracts and Grants Specialist (Weill Cornell Qatar)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Reviews terms and conditions of new contractual agreements and evaluates changes to pre-existing agreements. Reviews and negotiates research contracts, including, but not limited to: grant sub-contracts, material transfer agreements, non-disclosure agreements, standard research agreements, data use agreements and/or clinical trial agreements, as applicable and appropriate. Ensures proper flow-down of FMA (Fund Management Agreement) terms and conditions to sub-recipients of QNRF funds. Monitors deadlines to ensure sub-recipient compliance with reporting requirements.

2. Maintains up-to-date knowledge and expertise in Cornell regulations and policies, and stays abreast of new laws and policies which affect sponsored program activities. Participates in the development and implementation of internal policies and regulations. Takes appropriate proactive action so as to protect the School and the Institution by assuring that proposals and awards are in compliance with all applicable local and US regulations.

3. Works closely with WCMC-Q Grants Manager, WCMC-Q Director of Research Administration, NY Research and Sponsored Programs personnel and NY University Counsel to ensure that agreements are compliant with all applicable policies and regulations. Ensures receipt of necessary ethical compliance approvals, as well as any other required documentation, as applicable and determined, by project.

4. Participates in collaborations with colleagues to ensure that WCMC-Q research activities corroborate with institution-wide compliance policies and the research mission.

5. Assists Grants Manager in providing leadership for preparing and organizing education/orientation programs for WCMC-Q faculty and staff.

6. Reviews grant proposals and contracts for internal and external regulatory compliance, sponsor requirements, and appropriateness of proposed budgets. Works closely with faculty to resolve discrepancies.

7. Prepares documents for sponsor approvals of changes to research projects; compiles and researches data for reports and presentations; compiles statistical information; creates and maintains spreadsheets.

8. Prepares financial reports of sponsored program expenses. Discusses and reviews reports with faculty. Works to resolve conflicts and errors. Reviews financial reports for sponsored projects, prior to submission.

9. Facilitate direct ordering from lab staff, as approved by lab PIs. Work with Finance and ordering staff to ensure proper training and adherence to developed policies and procedures. Using SAP, place orders from lab members, where the labs are not yet able to place orders directly. Follow-up on electronic approvals, as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• BS degree in management, business administration, related subjects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 7 or more years prior experience in research administration, managing and negotiating contracts

• Experience and understanding of US federal regulations and policies, and applicable OMB circulars.

• Previously demonstrated experience in drafting, negotiating, and interpreting research contracts.

• Previously demonstrated advanced excellent, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

• Previously demonstrated advanced fluency in the English language, written and verbal

• Prior experience working in a cross-cultural environment

Senior Process Engineer (KEO International)

Requirements: We require a Process Design Engineer, ideally with a significant proportion of experience undertaken with an International Consultancy. This is an ideal opportunity to join KEO to work on a number of large municipal water projects here in Qatar and throughout the Gulf.

As an expert in Process Engineering, you will be responsible for input into designs related to large wastewater treatment plants.

To be successful you will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience:
• 15 years of process engineering experience in design and reviewing design & build documents related to large wastewater treatment plants.
• A minimum of 12 yrs experience in process engineering on STPs including sludge handling and odour control.
• Must have good knowledge of overall plant design and preferably able to manage a complete design project.

Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited University. M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in the Gulf Region would be advantageous.

Description of Senior Drilling Supervisor An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an innovative and busy team as a Senior Drilling Supervisor working on a very large mature field for our NOC client in Qatar.

Senior Drilling Supervisor shall with all due diligence and with reasonable skill, care and expertise, direct, inspect and perform the work of offshore drilling supervision including supervision of drilling contractor and all service contractors’ activities carried out at the well site, and ensure that the work is accomplished in compliance with contractual commitments, company policy, safety procedures, planned drilling program and high standards and practices of the oil industry.

The duties of the Senior Drilling Supervisor include, although not limited to, the following tasks:
• Possess good knowledge of every aspect of exploration and appraisal drilling operations including cementing, drilling fluids, directional drilling, stuck pipe avoidance, bit/BHA and hydraulics optimisation, conductor driving, Mudline suspension etc.
• Compile reports covering all aspect of operations highlighting operational problems and safety issues and including recommendations and lessons learned.
• Instruct drilling and service contractors on details of work at well site and ensure the Oil Company instructions are adhered to at each step of the operations in accordance with acceptable oil field practices.
• Plan material, equipment and services required for scheduled drilling program.

Skills required for Senior Drilling Supervisor The ideal candidates should:
• A minimum 10 years international experience in Drilling Engineering or Supervision is required

OPC Ltd offers a very attractive package that includes day rate, travel day rates, accommodation, per diem, business class flights and insurance. Brief Description
The Communication & Control System Program Officer will work with the Program Manager and other QNRF staff in all phases of developing, publicizing, and administering research competitions. Detailed Description
• Draft requests-for-proposals to invite investigator-initiated research proposals
• Serve as primary point of contact for applicants and funded researchers for procedural and administrative issues, including addressing queries related to the application process and assisting Program Manager in troubleshooting issues on active projects
• Work closely with IT staff and consultants to ensure coordination of information system and web-based support for all programmatic activities
• Administer all phases of the proposal review process and assisting peer reviewers to complete reviews
