Essential Responsibilities
- Works closely with sales team to develop opportunities, formulate and present GE solutions to customers
- Facilitates OC Technology Days and customer workshops to enhance customer awareness of OC solutions.
- Responsible for driving customers to specify GE as preferred supplier for upcoming new and retrofit projects, using in depth understanding of customers needs (technical/process/commercial), using FEED documents (front end engineering design), hardware and software demonstrations.
- Provides Voice of Customer feedback on competition, new market dynamics, and new product ideas.
- Coordinates with NPI team on effectiveness of product launch materials in the Gulf, provides positioning guidelines.
- Acts as internal champion for new product launches. Provides technical and application specific training materials for Account Managers.
- Provides project support on specific strategic initiatives, including RFQ review/analysis, site surveys, technical scoping, and costing and proposal development as necessary to grow segment business.
- Provides commercialization support of existing and developing hardware and software products, including customer references, and testimonials, writing white papers.
- Facilitates Local User Group. (System 1 user group, for example)
- Facilitates Webinars, (mini internet conference for invited users on a technical topic)
- Focuses on supporting the customer, creating references and driving organizational accountability within assigned products and regions by monitoring CIR cases and understanding the detractors in the Net
Promoter Score.
- Extensive travel within the Gulf and East Med will be expected
Qualifications/Requirements
- BS Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Instrumentation engineering degree
- In-depth knowledge of market and customers in specific product segment
- Field/operational experience to include an understanding of technologies, applications, and installations.
- Customer-focused skills, demonstrated by experience in direct sales, customer services or project management, are essential.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in local language and/or English if not the primary. Capable of hosting / facilitating discussion atmeetings. Clear articulation of the application and benefit of PAM products and services.
- Can prepare and present a technical paper to represent OC at a technical conference.
- Must be able to generate immediate credibility with customers, channel partners, GE sales and engineering communities.
