Finance Manager - UDC Qatar

Job Purpose
To plan, direct and monitor all revenue and expenses for all investment lines and ensure that all financial reporting adheres to the UDC’s policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves safeguarding the assets of UDC.
Main activities
- Ensure the effective achievement of Finance and Accounting functional objectives through the leadership of the department – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximise subordinate and departmental performance.
- Direct resources and define timetables to ensure the timely and accurate collection, consolidation and effective presentation of Company accounting and audit information for review at Senior Management .
- Define, develop and implement financial planning and budgeting framework in line with corporate Finance strategy in order to support the achievement of overall business objectives.
- Contribute to the development of a financial strategy for the total business which supports and enables the achievement of overall UDC objectives.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of operational policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of Finance and Accounting activities so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
- Update and review financial policies and procedures based on the recent trends and experiences / maintenance of accounting manual
- Liaise with EVP Finance on issues relating to financial matters
Job Requirments
- Degree in Finance and accounting (preferably ACA, CPA)
- Minimum 8 years experience in a similar role
- Proficient in accounting software applications (IT literate)
- Expert knowledge and skills with interpretation of Reporting and Regulatory requirements
- Good communication, leadership and motivational skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
