Senior Purchasing Officer

Senior Purchasing Officer - UDC Qatar

Job Purpose
To plan, direct and manage the procurement activities to support company’s operations in most efficient and effective manner.


Main activities

  • Manage the procurement processes for all UDC requirements
  • Liaise with all UDC’s departments for all procurement related enquiries and tasks
  • Implement the procurement policies and procedures to support the development, planning and delivery of departmental and organizational objectives
  • Negotiate of contracts and definition of service level agreements with suppliers
  • Provide analyses and reports on all procurement activities and maintain database for al procurement activities

Job Requirments
  • Degree in related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years experience a similar role within procurement environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer literate with significant experience of Microsoft Office applications, internet, oracle knowledge is an added advantage
  • Excellent negotiations skills with strong analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of the local market/ suppliers
